Are you saying that there are no coaching options during the game that allow you to play man or the ball? strange because that option exists on the xbox one version of the game.

I honestly think the new switch stick tech they put in the game made the USER DBs super dumb. It is as if EA wants you to control the DBs 100% of the time using their new "feature". I remember Madden had this problem years ago when they first added aggressive, RAC and possessive catch options, USER WRs wouldn't attack the ball on their own. I see the same problem this year, only with DBs.

The only DBs who don't have this problem 100% of the time are the ones with play the ball aggressively in the air trait. Everybody else they just stand there and watch. Got to the point now, I just switch over to the DB right before the ball get there and go for the INT or swat myself.

They removed that option after a title update last year.

Unfortunately for me, Madden 25 has not been a good experience although it does have some nice presentation and graphics. The run/pass ratio is simply a game killer and then add the brain-dead defense (even with sliders max adjusted), not an enjoyable or acceptable experience for me. If these items are not fixed in a patch, I really have no reason to play the game this year which stinks as I really want to but can't play a game where there is only a handful of runs and neither defense can stop the offense unless some stupid play call is made or a penalty stops the drive.

Very disappointed...most of my time will turn back to College Football game.

Haven't bought Madden in quite a few years so may be fresher eyes on this than some, I did however buy the bundle and have been playing quite a bit of NCAA Football.

Impressions:
Gameplay doesn't feel as animation driven as last version of madden I played.
Graphics are really good
Atmosphere isn't as good as NCAA, every game feels like a preseason game crowd wise
On all-pro only so far, I have been forcing way too many turnovers from CPU, Packers vs Bears for example I picked off Caleb 5 times and forced a fumble. I love crushing the bears, but it was a little ridiculous, and it has been happening regularly where I user pick off the CPU often
Menus feel so slow and chuggy, aren't we in a mature stage of the PS5's by now?
Commentary is rough, why aren't all of them at the same decibel levels?

Rambles above aside, still having some fun, but definitely got some things I need to sort out before diving into franchise

Some more thoughts on the one game I played yesterday.

- Was impressed by the crowd audio. They got really loud at appropriate times.

- Definitely need sliders. I picked off Aaron Rodgers 5 times with 2 pick sixes. I know he’s past his prime, but I shouldn’t pick him off that much on default all pro. He also lost a fumbled and it got returned for a touchdown. IMO CFB was harder and tuned a lot better OOTB.

- Game feels A LOT slower than CFB to me. Not really a bad thing though. Kind of makes every play feel important in a way.

- If the tackling gets cleaned up then this could potentially be a better game than CFB, but both play really well.

- No penalties on default settings. And two short injuries that the guys returned from.

For those who played the Beta how much of the game was changed? I'm not seeing the greatness everyone was talking about. I see slight changes from 24, but nothing earth shattering. Did they pull a Beta and switch again like they do every year.
