Which Crops Are Needed?
Can The Achievement Be Tracked?
Stardew Valley players have a lot to love when it comes to the game's farming systems. Each season offers several new crops to purchase and cultivate, and with the game featuring some mega-crops for truly dedicated farmers, the plant-grow-sell cycle rarely gets old.

For players looking to prove their farming expertise and mastery of the seasons, there's no better way to achieve that than unlocking the Polyculture trophy / achievement. Requiring players to ship 15 of each crop, unlocking this mark of status isn't as difficult as it first appears. However, it may still take players multiple in-game years to unlock. This guide will help players identify which crops they need to harvest and explain how their seeds can be obtained.

Which Crops Are Needed?

The Polyculture trophy / achievement's description makes it sound like every single crop in the game must be shipped fifteen times. However, that's not true. Only 28 specific crops need to be grown and sold fifteen times, with some only being obtainable after at least a year in the valley. Most crop seeds can be obtained in multiple ways. The tables below show the most reliable sources of each crop; additionally, there are a few tips players should keep in mind.
- If one of Pierre's seeds isn't in stock, check again during the season that the crop grows.
- If a Traveling Cart seed isn't in stock, check again when the cart next appears. It will be available every Friday and Saturday.
- Some crops can be grown during multiple seasons, but only purchased in one.
- Some crops can also be found when foraging. Selling foraged crops does count towards this trophy / achievement.

Can The Achievement Be Tracked?
It can be easy to forget which crops have or have not been sold, but players don't need to worry. By visiting the 'collections' tab of their inventory, items that have been sold will appear in color. Players can then see the exact number of that crop that they have sold by hovering over them. Even if the item has been collected, it won't appear unless it's been sold via the shipping bin.
Players can also use this system to track their progress towards the Monoculture trophy / achievement, as well as seeing which fish they have left to catch. When fifteen of each of the 28 needed crops has been sold, this trophy / achievement will unlock.
Stardew Valley is available on Windows, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
