I've had a verruca for a year, tried the freezy treatment & the extra strength Bazuka to no avail. I'm now hoping to try this method:
http://www.jyi.org/volumes/volume7/issue5/features/demichele.html
So I bought some duct tape today. My verruca is on the sole of my foot, quite central - and the duct tape won't stick, even after cleaning my foot with an alcohol rub. I've put a plaster over it, but that's going to give up the ghost shortly too.
Any suggestions? How do I get stuff to stick to my feet?

I know, that's where I got the idea from - but if I can't get the stuff stick to my foot, I doubt it'll be any good.....

If you wrap the duct tape right around your foot, it will stick to itself and it should stay if you wrap it firmly enough.

I did this and it does work. You have to wrap the duct tape round your foot so the verucca is completely sealed away from the air.

I bath every night, would it not defeat the object taking it off then putting new bit on? does it have to be permanantly stuck to your foot for ages for it to go?

Are you going somewhere really hot? My daughter had a verucca on the sole of her foot and it burnt off in Turkey when she walked on hot paving slabs. It was extremely hot though! And not recommended as a way to get rid of veruccas in general.:)

Tenerife, if the volcano gods allow it.
I'll use the Bazuka while we're there, so hopefully it won't spread to anyone else - then when we get back, I'm gonna kill it.

I started a thread about this in General Discussion. It worked for me, but I found the duct tape dried the skin out too much to wrap it around the entire area, so I just cut the tape to fit over the verruca fully and then bought some wrapping (basically sticky plaster like fabric on a roll) and used this to secure it in place properly.

Sounds like a plan....thanks!
(I did try posing the question on that thread, but it sank to the bottom of GD never to be seen again!)
